Kentucky Bishop Slams Covington Kids for Wearing MAGA Hats, 'A Politics of Hate'

Reverend John Stowe, the bishop of the Diocese of Lexington, Ky., harshly criticized the Covington Catholic High School boys who were confronted by Indian activists after the March for Life on Jan. 18, stating he was astonished they would wear MAGA hats that represent a president "who denigrates the lives of immigrants." He also stated that "the association of our young people with racist acts and a politics of hate must also become unthinkable."

He was saying Trump denigrates immigrants. That is pure BS. He is for the rule of law, plain and simple. The left distorts everything he says.

I left the Catholic church too. And that weak mealy mouth poof bishop was bullied into condemnation, yeah and so was Pontius Pilate. Took long enough for him to apologize, but wanted to make sure everyone know HE was the victim. “Come out of her,my people, that ye may not be partakers of her sins....”

I find this particular comment troubling:

Just a basic question, is it now a foregone conclusion that the MAGA hat represents racism? Is anyone ever going to publicly dispute this or is it true? If it is the truth, what is wrong in admitting that the politics of racebaiting, excusing senseless murder of police, illegal immigrants committing violent crime, drug deaths, etc. has damaged the greatness of this country? That many want this degradation of our country stopped and wearing a hat is in fact a manner of protest. We must stop running from OUR truth.
