Unless you’re truly remote, off the grid, you might be preparing for someone else’s survival. The fat ones will draw attention to themselves.
Bingo...that is exactly what dawned on me one day as i was pondering this. Especially if you think you can do it alone.
I have posted many times that if you are stuck in the burbs when the SHTF life is going to be unpleasant with supplies of without. But without supplies it will be short term misery.
