I play a course that requires you to have to use all the sticks in the bag. I'm just not a great long iron....4 or 5 iron player.

Up until recently, I didn’t carry any iron lower than a 6. Last year I added a 5.
mostly use hybrids rather than long irons. I have 4 and, depending on the course, swap ‘em in an out with the 5 & 6 iron. Right now I am jonesin.

I play a course that is a links style course. You need to play longer irons to run the ball to spots. Hitting a rescue up high could catch trees or the wind and end up in the fescue/rough. I'm jonesin as well.

I know that 64th and North area. In the late 70s it was safer than today. It's right on the edge. And yes, I'm old I guess, but we refer to neighborhoods based on the nearby churches.

warming up here. started at -24 early this a.m. and is now -7.

I played at a lot of WI. courses over the years. Great courses and better prices.
I still need to make the Kohler trip.

When I was younger - played Milwaukee County munis..
Played every thing that was in Lake Geneva. Couple in Delavan and Elkhorn.
Played with BILs all over...Morningstar, Rivermoor, Rainbow Springs, Nippersink ?, Lake Lawn, Brown Deer Park, a couple up in Seymour & Shawano...

I still play courses in Delavan & Elkhorn on a weekend every year. Still want to play Hawk’s View.
One of these days....

Now I want to go hit some balls...

West Bend Country Club....sure you’ve never heard of it, but it’s a great course. I’ve played whistling straits, black wolf run and the Irish course and think the Irish course is better than whistling straits. I’ll tell you you o skip Erin Hills. It’s ten minutes from my house and I just don’t like it. Maybe we should dare to schedule a Freepers Open up here? I’m headed to Arizona in March and will play there.

The Wisc Freeper Open ? I’m in.

A bunch of us used to go to Myrtle Feb or March for 8 days every year.
We then switched to Florida...In both cases, the weather was a crap shoot.
We switched to AZ. and I didn’t get to go. Haven’t been on a trip since.
So I am somewhat envious - AZ in March should be ok, depending on where in AZ.

Down to -5...snow overnight but +20 tomorrow...
