My first thought was this was a pathetic attempt by the NFL to push the flagarant missed call that to me looked like blatant game fixing in favor of the LA Rams to page 28Q.

Then I looked at the video.

Know more than a little about lasers. That was at least a 5mW green laser pointer. If it would have hit Brady just a little bit wrong, it could have cause serious and permanent damage to his eyes. As in end of his career and lifelong vision issues. Brady was turning his head and eyes enough he didn’t get a full shot. But if he would have stared into the laser pointer, permanent retinal damage could have resulted.

Again, the person responsible needs to be caught and send to jail.

I don't doubt that they will likely find the person. When you look at the video, they know what time in the game and which way Brady is facing when he is being painted. Simple geometry will give them a ballpark region to examine more closely.

And there is almost certainly timestamped video of that part of the stadium it came from that they will be able to see it emanating from.

Heck, they have a website (I can't find it though I went there once) where you can look up a game, and find yourself...easily. This is from a game I went to, and you have a picture of the entire stadium, and just zoom in to where you are sitting and you get this resolution:
