This entire situation was instigated, and we saw the use of selectively edited video, to push a media narrative.
Why is there no talk of the black men who seem to have started this whole thing? Are they off limits because of being a special race?
And because some older Indian man bangs a drum, because of his special ethnic background, he too can not be criticized for his role in all of this?
This is a good example, of a situation in which we need to be skeptical of the media. Kids, white kids wearing MAGA hats, apparently were too juicy a target to avoid making their inane political statement.

I sent a a carefully hotlinked letter to my own bishop (not Covington) outlining the whole situation: the initial hoax/libel, the resultant instant social media (and mainstream media) flailing, howling and screaming for blood; and the followup videos and reporting.
I said we should all learn from this, because the Bishop of Covington condemned (their word: condemned) the students' action --- without verifying what their "action" was: in fact it boiled down to Nick Sandmann standing there impassively, at one point smiling nervously, while Nathan Phillips stood there banging his drum in Nick's face.
I got a one-line e-mail reply from my Bishop saying "I think the Bishop has everything under control so I would advise no need for further letters to the Diocese. All the best. "
The Bishop of Covington "has everything under control." Doesn't that just tickle your innards.
The Bishop of Covington had committed the serious offense of calumny. He publicly condemned these boys, threatened punishment, and then 3 days later adding that they were going to "begin an investigation."
Right: first the accusation, then the verdict of guilty, then begin the investigation, right?
He doesn't need to "get everything under control." He needs to confess his jaw-dropping violation of justice toward these boys, admit he committed the grave sin of moral defamation against them, apologize to them in public, in the presence of their parents, the whole school, all his priests and the media, and make reparation for the way he damaged their reputations and their lives.
In the end,we will all face the same Judge.
