I think the piece was written somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but the points are salient. However, rather than imposing them from the top down, dictator fashion, I'd prefer that we, as a moral people, push them from the ground up, and that we stop empowering people who implement practices abhorrent to our values.

We elect school board members who promote homosexuality in our classrooms. We elect zoning commissioners who prevent small businesses from sprouting. We elect mayors who assume tyrannical powers to regulate what soda we can drink and force landlords to rent to undesirables. We allow judges to legislate and legislators to oppress.

WE do that. And the scum that floats to the top simply takes advantage of us. We don't need a dictator -- even one with good ideas. We need a people who vote their conscience and refuse to be bullied by political correctness.
