Huntsville, Alabama, police indicate that an IHOP employee pulled his own gun and killed a man who was shooting at store employees.
The Associated Press reports that the incident began when a customer became agitated over his food order. That customer opened fire on IHOP employees, killing one and wounding another. The wounded employee then pulled his own gun and shot the attacker dead.
Police said of the wounded employee, [He] pulled a handgun and shot the customer-shooter in self-defense of others.

WAAY 31 identified the deceased IHOP employee as Roy Brown and reported that Browns son, Jay, is the individual who pulled his own gun and killed the attacker.
John Powell, a frequent customer to the IHOP where the incident occurred, praised the man for his actions. Powell said, Its amazing that he was able to think so quickly on his feet in that situation, because I think I probably just wouldve panicked.
He added, Im glad he was carrying. I think its fantastic. I love knowing that the good guys have guns so that, if the bad guys act up, the good guys can protect themselves.

I have no idea of the circumstances of the previous shootings. Third time was the charm, I guess.
The result of a trial would conclude guilt or innocence of whatever they charged him with.
What bearing does that have on the fact that he was the one involved in shooting up a restaurant?
A good reporter would include Who, What, When, Where? Would he not?
I see what you’re getting at. I suppose in this case it was a domestic relationship with the shooter and target now both deceased, however.

Notification of family or next of kin is a nice thing to do, for people that deserve it. I’m not persuaded a perpetrator of violent crime and murder deserves any particular courtesy whatsoever.
Where did you see that the attacker was in a relationship with the man that he killed? The man who shot the attacker was related to the victim (the victim was his father) unless I am misreading this?
Oh, sorry—I probably misread it. Just looked at a couple of sentences quickly.
If Democrats had their way more people would be dead. They will probably condemn the armed employee. They will probably protest til,the employee is fired.
The victim, Brown, and the hero, Brown, were not. The murderer was.
And 'Choate' is what, exactly - a new millenial code word, perhaps?
A great school.
Choate is a famous prep school in Wallingford, CT. The Kennedys (for instance) went there. Not a lot of non-Asian minorities there.

That’s how criminal justice works in an uncivilized country.
Axiomatic until the Saint's retirement. After that, they started burning their seed corn, in more ways than one. A real pity.
