Wednesdays massive storm had rivers rising all around our area. In Sacramento County, the surge of water swept away toxic waste from homeless camps and sent it all downstream.
One section of Steelhead Creek, hit hard by toxic debris from homeless camps, grabbed the attention of geologist Roland Brady.
One day after the storm, Brady came out to see the aftermath.
I wouldnt drink it, Brady said. I would never drink it. What youll see are places that look like a solid waste disposal site, with a creek flowing through it.

The words “toxic waste” to me usually indicate some sort of poisonous chemical spill, not just plain ol’ s#it.
So, storm (no doubt due to agw) dumps big moisture on Ca causing big “dump” to flow downhill from homeless camp. So, they weren’t at the KOA then?
One thing I’ve noticed about the homeless, they’re not overly punctilious about sanitation.
My folks and I sailed into Oakland in the summer of ‘61.
California looked damned good to me...
For LaLa Land residents:
You are welcome to ignore reality but you cant ignore the consequences of ignoring reality
Toxic waste is anything liberal..
No problem, it’s all going to end up in San Francisco (Or the Bay Area) where they love it.
“Whether you like it or not!”
That was Newsome’s closing phrase 10 years ago, when he said
“Gay marriage is coming whether you like it or not!”. I think he was an Assemblyman back then.
This was after the second (or third) statewide vote showing that the majority voter rejected this social experiment.
The headline would make you think these poor homeless people are eating radioactive food and being forced to make camp on land filled with toxic chemicals dumped by some greedy, evil corporation!
Haven’t been to CA since 1986, but what I see on TV does not look good, mainly third world living conditions or becoming third world till the house flippers show up and polish the turd in a turd world neighborhood.
“places that look like a solid waste disposal site, with a creek flowing through it.
I can think of many locations/towns/cities/states that meet that description...
wonderful statement.....who did you quote or did you come up with it...it says it all....
Ayn Rand...
I’m here in Sacramento.
The City sends out the welcome wagon for homeless in their every action.
Every law that the police used to employ to deal with the problem is either declared unconstitutional, or ordered not enforced by the Mayor, County Board etc.
This is not San Francisco, and eventually the people here will get fed up and demand action. Or, take action on their own.

“but what I see on TV does not look good, mainly third world living conditions or becoming third world till the house flippers show up and polish the turd in a turd world neighborhood.”
Blazing ignorance.
Our small town has lovely park and hospital built on the banks of a pretty creek
Scratch the surface of the son and you’re into a 150 year old landfill
We’ve found a few cool old bottles doing excavating in the area
