We used to have phone passwords but decided in an emergency, EMTs or others might not be able to notify one of us if the other had an emergency situation. We don’t use our phones to access any sensitive sites so it made sense for us.

Some people access bank and brokerage accounts through their phones, so that would be a non-starter for them. For these people, using their thumbprints to secure their phones is almost an invitation to murder.
