Good plan. I didn’t have that plan in my youth. Breaking/training horses was my favourite thing to do. Had surgeries, but that didn’t stop me. I’m older now, but few regrets.
My dismay is that in spite of my best efforts in relationships, too many crashed & burned.
Earlier--was too intense--probably tried for too much--particularly in some contexts.
Last 10-20 years--much less intense but that's probably not saying much. Results seem to be the same. Sigh.
Still, thousands of classmates & others know they have been genuinely loved & cared for to the limits of my capacities.
Since that's how I defined 'success' early on, I guess I don't have complaints or regrets on that score.
And, reportedly, casting bread upon the waters carries an eternal reward. I think I can wrap my faith around that.
Thanks for your kind replies. A lengthening list don't want me posting to them at all. Sigh.
Breaking horses is sure not a ‘Laz-Y-Boy’ sort of job! Or past time! Congrats. Horses, donkeys & mules are interesting critters. Each with their own personality.
