Man gets banned from Royal Caribbean Cruises after jumping off ship for viral fame

I’ve skiied in the mid Atlantic behind a fast moving sailboat and swam middle of Caribbean

They got banned for life not only because their stunt was reckless,,dangerous and stupid but because if they had been injured or killed, it would bave exposed Royal Caribbean to ruinous criminal and civil sanctions.

There are rules that are brioken that are no big deal and then there are rules that affect people’s safety and lives.

Making a jackass of yourself is the latter and those men will never book another cruise again.

Decades ago a young woman in Washington DC dove off of Key Bridge to commit suicide. On the way down she decided she really wanted to live. Fortunately this female was both physically fit and could high board dive. She snapped around into dive position and nicely spiked hitting the pretty frigid water. a young man who suffered from toxic masculinity was standing on the Virginia bank and saw the whole thing and dove in and swam out against a stiff current to rescue the pretty beat up girl. Happy ending , she lived albeit with several broken ribs and her rescuer got her back to shore and an ambulance was called for both of them. The lady would have drowned as the impact and the frigid water virtually knocked her out. Mark this up to another case of toxic masculinity in action.

Reminds me of an old Alfred Hitchcock TV show years ago in which a man tries to win some kind of lottery on how far the ship travels in a day. He jumps from the stern, but the two old ladies who see him jump do not report it.

I had friend in the 70s who rescued a girl we knew from a rapist in north Jackson Miss one night in a remote wooded area

He heard her screaming and she cam running naked down the trail to the parking area

The perp whom we also knew chasing her

My friend a small stature but genial and very bright old south blue blood took his scattergun from the trunk of his old 2002 and stopped the guy

The girl was a beauty....they’ve been married I think 39 years now with kids and live on the Gulf
