Colonel R.L. Hanson was my commander at Keesler AFB along with CM/Sgt Brent. They were the ones that had to use the Geiger counter on the men and examine them for possible contaminants. Col Hanson stated that these men were honest and scared and something happened to them truly. We were on alert for this incident as we didn't know how many more of these “incidents” were to occur and how many men would be needed rapidly that were schooled in decontamination. Today's military is well versed in decontamination.
