I Want Kids But My Husband Is Twice My Age
MARRIED Melinda and Larry Mikla have an unconventional age gap in their relationship - of 30 years. The lovestruck pair get stares everywhere they go, from passers-by who think they are dad and daughter, or worse, a granddaughter and her grandpa. The pair met when retired police officer Larry was the first responder to a minor traffic incident involving Mindys car in Ohio, USA, in August 2012. Now the couple are trying for a baby, but dont know if it will be possible due to Larry having a vasectomy 18 years ago.

I got out light in comparison. Thankfully, she was as stupid as she was mendacious and conniving. Fortunately, she cared about what the kids thought of her. Were it not for that, I’d be hanging on a cross right beside your friend.
This was awhile ago, but I met a young lady who was some 30 years younger than me and we seemed to hit it off quite nicely. She had a lovely smile and her interests appeared to be the same as mine...she was easy to talk to and I was thinking that marriage to a younger might be a little strange at first but with kindness and understanding....then Pooooft the lap dance was over and my $10 was gone.
Yea, and the wife always ends up as the custodial parent, getting the money and the kids.
Just repeating some things I’ve posted on FR over the years and in response to this topic:
1. At 18 I was ready to marry and start a family and was not the least bit interested in going to college to get an indoctrination and a lifetime of student loan debt. The man I met was 44 at the time, had a successful business, and was also interested in a large family. I’m now due with my eighth child and we’ve been married for almost ten years.
2. I was not interested in younger men because there were no younger men who wanted what I wanted. That simple.
3. I was also not interested in the boys my age (hard to call them men) because they were mostly little boys living at home and still playing with their friends after school.
4. My husband is perfectly fine in bed: Eight children were no accident.
5. I keep him happy, he keeps me happy.
6. We have plans for what happens if he passes away.
7. Most everyone on here had grandparents or great-grandparents who had significant age differences. Up until around 1900 these relationships were very common and no one was concerned about them at all.
I don’t see why this is such a big deal or controversy to some people. Especially liberals.
That was revolting on so many levels.
Thank You for that wonderful post Megan. :)
Yes, I do have more kids - plus my stepsons who I love - guess I’m in “patriarch” territory!
I’m 73 now and an avid bicyclist so, we’ll we.
As we used to say when I was in the Marines: “You have Winter in your hair and Summer in your eyes, but if you don’t get some Spring in your butt, it’s over the Falls for you, baby”.
