Isn’t it against the law most places to leave old freezers around without the doors removed or locked with a hasp and lock?

how old is this fridge? been a long time since made with latches.to prevent this very thing.

Yes, there are laws. Just like gun laws, this law can’t take into account for mistakes and someone not following them.
