I met her once (1973 )when she was campaigning in the old neighborhood for Abe Beame to be elected NYC Mayor. He won.

A nice woman who followed her dreams.

Now THERE’s a name I haven’t heard of in a long time.

I had never heard of him before he ran for mayor, and cannot recall hearing of him again after his term was over.

He was mayor at a time probably no one else wanted the job.
