I am 188% certain that the description of “The Event” has been changed to incorporate The Great Awakening, probably because The Event’s earlier efforts were pathetic and creepy.
The Event’s “rapture” would be transformative day, all made right, evil gone, new life and new ways of living etc.
So, those pre-trib Christian videos warned that The Event was possibly the “Great Deception”.

With my limited time snooping around the site today I get the same vibe as you are describing. An odd mixture of what sounds like “Q” type thinking mixed in with a lot of esoteric woo woo stuff, heck, just plain evil, misleading people away from the Truth and substituting a replacement hope for the real “Hope”.
When I tried to look under the curtain to see who was behind it it was like chasing ghosts but then enough coincidences to mark it as another leftist organization.
Talk about falling out of my chair, I was watching a vid clip of Chuck Schumer talking yada yada yada on one of the news talk programs when suddenly he claimed that he and the Democrats were going to “drain the swamp” and a couple of other things co-opted from the Conservative talking points. What liars.

I don’t know. I do know a few far left leaning people who are into the Event, and I’ve been using it to red pill my best friend. I compare what President Trump has been doing and saying with Q with what the media says he’s doing to try to convince him that Mr. Trump is really on “our side.” He doesn’t really fully believe me, (he’s from El Sal), but his mind is open to it.
The thing about the event is that those people have been studying the cabal and the secret organizations for many years. Some of their goals and predictions are way off the charts, but it’s based on the same underlying concepts as what we’re doing.
In fact, that’s been the greatest reveal from Qanon in the first place: That everything we’ve suspected for generations is TRUE and that we’ve been being gaslighted for a long long time.
