The official standard should be that if a justice is incapable of doing the job, they should be considered retired. One thing if one has the flu and is out of commission for a couple of weeks. But terminal?

Justices should have to appear in chambers to record their vote. That is the only stipulation that would need to be leveled. Regardless... dead, alive, terminal? No show, no vote.
