It is akin to blaming a 4 year old for getting abducted because the guy told him he had a piece of candy in his car for him.
Many 12-14 year old girls are cowed by celebrity and authority (teachers, counselors, stars, priests, whatever). They might trust them more and they do want what kids of that age want. To be a singer, to be the teacher’s favorite, special attention, whatever.
