Being an artist, I just had to look up...
The Frank Gehry-designed home of artist John Baldessari.
Frank Gehry designed buildings are “Unusual” to say the least. Very ultra modern, or what people THOUGHT modern would look like in the future, back in the 1950s or so. Really strange buildings. Interesting, thought. Very artsy.
I wonder what will happen in Ca. Clearly it is a battle between working people and idle vagrants.
“Clearly it is a battle between working people and idle vagrants.”
You forgot the ultra left politicians.
Gehry designed the Experience Music site in Seattle. It looks like someone dumped the contents of a garbage can into the street.
Oh, believe me, they're not idle. Anything outside is fair game for them to steal - children's bikes, wheelchairs, walkers - you frequently see frankenstein'ed trailers following BMX bikes, loaded with even more stolen stuff, heading back to the encampment to be dumped there (and then they'll complain someone stole from their horde...)
Only need $5 for a little taste of heroin or meth, you can get that just by selling a couple garden hoses to the thrift shop. The walking dead are out each and every night.
“I wonder what will happen in Ca. Clearly it is a battle between working people and idle vagrants.”
Idle vagrants who have the State and many times the local governments “behind” them.
Do you have a link to pic(s) of same? I tried to look for same, but with the devolvement of Google, found I came up short after a few tries.
Gehry is an idiot. Generally his building designs are half or completely unbuildable from his plans and specifications. Many have designed-in flaws like leaking roof features that cannot be executed in a manner to make ownership desirable. He is a cartoonist that stumbled into the field of architecture in my opinion. After his debacle at MIT how he keeps getting hired is beyond me.
