When I worked for the fedgov, and granted it was a few years ago now but not ancient history, my experience was entirely different. Those that I have kept in touch with dont have any particular animus towards Trump, and all of them want the wall. It probably varies significantly agency to agency.
Present tense Dittos.
My experience was similar to yours. The people I worked with took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. For decades, they were terribly frustrated with politicians who took the same oath yet betrayed the country with no punitive backlash. Whoever wrote this article probably doesnt get out much.
What I have found is that every Fed.gov employee hates their job.
Particularly the left-leaning ones. I guess they are less willing to accept the world, and other people, as they are, and that has to be particularly frustrating in a large bureaucracy like a government agency.
Agree plus there’s this statistic “
” Thirty percent of all employees of the federal government executive branch are veterans ....”
Let’s assume that at least half of those veterans are conservative. Also the FedGov is not uniformly unionized and something like 27% are union. Of the federal union the Treasury Employees Union is the most radical.
