Funny how they’re right next ot the Ford exhibit, as the headlights evoke memories (not altogether good) of the ill-fated Edsel, in my opinion.

“MSRP $60,000?”

How much do you think a new pickup costs today?

It’s easy to spend $85,000 on one...

Will it tow a fifth wheel plus a family of five? If it does, I might be interested in buying it.

Wife: “Did you pack the GASOLINE generator to charge up the SUV?”
Husband: “No”
Wife: “We’re screwed and I hear banjo music”

Just watched the video — it can seat five (they also have an SUV that seats seven) — both can tow 11,000 pounds and ford a stream three feet deep, any deeper and the vehicle will float away...

Pretty nice. Both have a large ‘trunk’ at the front that is waterproof.

The pickup is very nice, many cool features. If you’ve priced new top of the line full size pickups, the price isn’t out of line but they’re all expensive. Plenty of towing capacity, but I didn’t note anyone speaking about range while towing. It’s decent enough to be competitive with gas engines without towing, 400 miles plus, but an 11,000 lb. trailer is going to cut that down dramatically, I’d think. The acceleration to 60 is in supercar territory, 3 seconds. I think they’ll sell a few.

That's why my truck is a 1997 Nissan hardbody. Paid $3,800, like new, still has only 68K miles.

BTW, my insurance is only $30 a month.

I'm cheap and proud of it.;-)

STUPID design! HUGE air-pushing front end with no engine in the engine bay!?!?! An EV should be aerodynamic at a minimum! Drop that hood and make the truck slick as an arrow (aero - get it?) if it’s an EV.....

Showing the brains behind EV’s have no common sense.......

:^) What's the difference between a banjo and an onion? Nobody cries when you chop up a banjo.

Collectors love 'em though. The problem with them wasn't the headlights, the problem was that horse collar grill, and even that wasn't a problem with a different thermostat (so the Edsel collector I know told me; he used to drive a different one of his collector cars to work about once a week during the summer, his Edsel was cherry. The Studeys often had unusual front ends, and the only thing that kept 'em on the ground was, they didn't have wings. :^)

Towing weight will cut range some, but trailers benefit from drafting behind the towing vehicle, and there's an advantage during charging -- park, hook up to the charger, and go back and relax in the 5th wheel.

The Mercedes GLC F-CELL has a 4 liter H tank.
[Electromobility has many facets. And hydrogen is one of them | Daimler] Compared to the preceding generation, the fuel cell system is 30 percent more compact and for the first time fits into a conventional engine compartment. Further improvements over the B Class F-CELL: 40 percent more drive power and 90 percent less platinum. The weight is also around 25 percent lower... Thanks to around 350 Nm of torque and an output of around 147 kW, the pre-series model of the GLC F-CELL offers plenty of driving pleasure. Operating ranges are 437 km in H2 mode (NEDC in HYBRID mode, measures in the presence of T?) and 49 km in battery-electric mode (NEDC in BATTERY mode). Thanks to 700 bar tanking technology, the GLC F-CELL is refuelled in around three minutes.

One of the ironies of longer range is, the charging time gets longer. If I had the money, I'd get the Tesla Model 3 with the package that has unlimited supercharging..

Best hurry up and get it, Elon Musk says they're going to stop producing them soon. That's what I've read anyway.

They’re building this thing in my back yard (figuratively speaking) and I didn’t even know?!
