From what I understand, could be wrong, wouldn’t be the first time,Bezos owns 17% of the Amazon stock. His voting shares are 17%. He’s chair so long as the rest of the shareholders or at least 33% plus one think he’s doing a good job.So yes he started it, but if someone can convince a majority of the shareholders to fire him, he can be removed. Bezos doesn’t have a special amount of voting shares like the folks at facebook do. So the shareholders are in control
My real mistake was thinking Amazon owned the Washington Post. It doesn’t Nash holdings does, a company Bezos founded. Hopefully his soon to be ex-wife gets half of it and decides to sell to the Trump corporation.
