I think Clemson has the best odds because they dominate a weak ACC conference. Alabama has to go through Georgia, LSU, Miss State, Texas A&M, Florida and the rest of the SEC, all excellent football teams. Clemson has to go through NC, Duke, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Pitt, Miami and FSU, none of which are any good. The chances of Clemson losing an ACC title game are about a million to one.

I don’t get the odds makers on this one. How can Clemson not be favored? I’ll bet this will change quickly as a lot of money goes down on Clemson. They will certainly start the season at #1.

I’d like to put $50 bucks each on all 6 teams, but I have no idea how to.

What were the odds this time last year?

Note the absence of Pac 12 teams. Under Larry Scott’s leadership, that conference has certainly gone downhill.

Arkansas had an excellent football team in 2018? I knew pimping the SEC was out of control but that’s just way too much!

Is anyone else as tired as me of seeing the same two teams in the National Championship game every year? It’s boring.

All excellent football teamsI think the SEC is a bit oversold. According to the bowl results the SEC only broke even.

I think Clemson has the best odds because they dominate a weak ACC conference. And the face Trevor Lawrence is back next season. Sadly, they'll probably end up playing Alabama again. :-/

Note the absence of Pac 12 teams. Under Larry Scotts leadership, that conference has certainly gone downhill. Two things hurt the PAC 12:
1. Their football games often start at 9 pm Eastern time or later, which means few on the US East Coast see the teams even if they're on ESPN.
2. The lack of national carriage of the PAC 12 Network really hurts viewership nationally. Note that FOX Sports has first dibs on national games of the Big Ten on the over-air FOX network or FS1 network and the SEC has their big game on CBS and also national carriage of the ESPN-owned SEC Network.

Alabama has the #1 ranked recruiting class coming in. Georgia #2.
Clemson #7. Clemson is losing the majority of their defense.

Clemson also has the best QB in the nation and he’s a freakin’ freshman. He’ll only get better. That kind of is the trump card in my opinion. If Alabama couldn’t stop him this year, do you really think a freshman is going to stop him next year? His offensive line is coming back along with the receivers. The defense will have the benefit of being able to give up 30 points and not have to really worry about things because their offense is almost guaranteed to score 35...

If he were one of the best quarterbacks in the nation he would have been one of the 3 invited to New York for the Heisman presentation. Tua is the favorite for next years Heisman.

Their football games often start at 9 pm Eastern time or later, which means few on the US East Coast see the teams even if they're on ESPN. This past season, at least three USC games started at 7:15 PM, which is too late even for some on the West Coast. Since a 7:15 kickoff means the game will be ending at around 11:00 PM, that means I won't get from the Coliseum to my home in Orange County until after midnight. Even though I had season tickets, I chose to watch two of those late games on TV.

"Tua is the favorite for next years Heisman."
After the head to head last night you really think he's still the favorite? What excuse could you make after last night to say Tua is favored over Lawrence? The odds makers had Alabama by 5.5 points so everyone believed Alabama had the better team and that Lawrence would get crushed by that Alabama pass rush and they would have to rely on their ground game. In every measurable category, Lawrence was the better QB last night against Tua. Heck Tua had the better ground game and therefore should have had an easier time passing the ball in theory.
To: NKP_Vet
Trevor Lawrence jumped in during week 3 or 4, and probably wasn’t eligible, or nominated. I expect some ‘Bama recruits are readying transfer papers to fill slots lost to graduation, offense and defense at Clemson.

The CFL has ruined post season college football and is getting as unwatchable as the NFL. Furthermore, the NCAA is as corrupt as the NFL or FIFA.
