From that article, I think the Deep State wants to get the (protest) party started since Trump “cheated them” out of riots when he exposed the Dems re the wall instead of declaring national emergency in a (their) “timely” manner. Here’s what I think is the DS hint.

I wonder if Rod knows about this - I think the last time the DS used him (e.g., story about him offering to wear a wire) he felt thrown under the bus.

I think maybe the DS is having a hard time getting Soros sized protests and may be trying to roll up a variety of interst groups into one big protest. Sounds paranoid, I know, but then I just "happen" to find this comment on the article and I think it's agitation supporting my theory:
