...well, actually, they have pretty much wiped out all other crime in Japan. Two huge contributors: First, they don’t allow immigration to speak of, so they’re 98.5% Japanese; the second part was installation of cameras everywhere.
Japan is about the safest place on Earth now, and great to visit!
