"God is Love" was written by Henry Livingston in his daughter Jane's Poetry Manuscript Book in 1827, the year before he died at the age of 79. Narrated by Byron Nilsson to "Washington."
TOPICS: Arts/Photography; Music/Entertainment; Poetry; Religion
KEYWORDS: henrylivingston; musicvideos; prayer
Newly up is also
Hogs, a poem for his sister Cornelia, and one of my favorites,
and Timmy, the poem usually pointed to by scholars of the attribution arguments because, like NBC, it's written from the point of view of what a CHILD wants, not what an ADULT wants. A POV Moore never took.
A Procession is not illustrated except to the original publication. It's most likely about the first meeting of Congress under the Constitution, which took place on the 4th of March, 1789 in New York City.

God is love.
Love is blind.
Justice is blind.
Justice is served.
Dinner is served.
Therefore, God is dinner?

Never heard that one before. Clever.

You are most welcome. I’ve always loved that poem and keep it at the top of the whole poetry page.

I’ve put up too many poems today. You’re referring to God is Love. I was referring to Without distinction,

which I just put up. Apologies.
