If that’s what it will take for the Democrats to have a majority in the Senate, Mitt will jump like Jeffords.
Not useful to him other than 15 minutes if fame or hurtful enough to the R’s unless the Senate is tied 50-50 with an R President. Turning it 51-49 D gets you plum assignments and committee chairmanships.
The last guy to pull that stunt (Snarlin’ Arlen) died despised by the R’s and ignored by the D’s after his 15 minutes. It’s really only good for the Spiteful Effect.
