Funeral services for Coach Huber were held on Saturday, December 20th, at the First Baptist Church in Teague, and were officiated in part by former President Bill Clinton, along with Steve Beaird, Rev. Robert Besser, and Rev. Jeff Powers. The former President and his wife Senator Hillary Clinton have been close friends with Huber and his family since the time of Bill Clinton’s Governorship in Arkansas. Coach Huber’s mother, Carolyn, had worked at the Rose Law Firm with Hillary Clinton when her husband was elected Governor, and Mrs. Clinton invited Carolyn Huber to take a position as the Governor’s Mansion Administrator. After President Clinton’s enauguration to the Oval Office in 1992, Carolyn Huber traveled with them to Washington D.C. as a personal secretary to the President and First Lady.
