A few years ago, on an HIV website, I read people with HIV die 14 years early. They’re also likely to get HAND (HIV associated neurological disease, or dementia). I can’t find these articles through web searches anymore. Wonder why. Did the Gaystapo remove them?

If they don’t die, their quality of life is significantly diminished by many of the ailments you mention, and others. Kidney and liver impairments are common. Cancers are much higher. Many times a combination of several of these make HIV infection a life sentence; not a death sentence.
