The biggest challenge I had in upgrading from the Walmart
drone to the Parrot GPS drone was trust in the instruments
and flying without having an eye on the aircraft.

The Walmart drone has minimal instruments and half your
time is spent trimming the thing into a state of stability.
Look away too long and it'll wander off somewhere and wreck itself.

When I got the Parrot, I was paranoid as hell to let the thing out
of my sight for maybe a month. Ultimately I got to trust that it
wasn't going to wander off and the instruments were accurate
and sufficient to maintain control. That opened up a whole new vista, tell you what.

Wandering off is the problem I have with the cheapo $50 drone, but I can understand that.

To light, to affected by wind and just a bugger to get used to.

Once I can figure it out and get used to it, I think I'll upgrade to the Parrot Avani........
