Every year the usual bunch gets all in a snit over it. "I'm not celebrating Kwaanza" they loudly proclaim, "stupid PC holiday!"
But I don't see anybody celebrating Kwaanza. Ever. Never actually seen it in real life. Are they selling Kwaanza cards at the CVS? No. Are they having Kwanzaa sales in department stores? No. Are there any radio stations playing Kwaanza music? No. Does your local bakery have Kwanzaa cookies? Nope.
You think anybody in the "hood" celebrates Kwanzaa? Hell no. Even the ghetto kids realize that Kwannza is a fabricated holiday invented by stupid white liberal people. They want nothing to do with it. They find the whole thing patronizing.
Recall that many think Wakanda is a real place, doing all sorts of high-tech things.
