The American presence in Benghazi was a CIA compound. There was a diplomatic mission there, skeleton staff, where Ambassador Stevens chose to conduct his business that fateful day. The fighters of 9/11 Benghazi were contract protection for CIA... they do not exist as far as USGVT sees it. If they stray they are on their own and unprotected.
They had that point driven home when they got no air support that night. Instead of F-16s roaring overhead they had to rely on an unarmed drone and help from the embassy in Tripoli which had to be cleared at both ends by Lybian officialdom.
When the hostilities were over and survivors flown out of country, it was a commercial flight that met them. They never saw any American aircraft at all during that horror. Yet no one in the media has asked, where was 0bama? Where was Hillary?
And you ask why no one has spoken out? I believe the military should have done the patriotic thing, OR State; but it is a lifetime career tossed overboard and a family to support. . . . Perilous times.
