Easy ...just roll porcupine in a layer of mud...bake in the fire.....when nice and solid peel off the baked mud with spines attached....add spices to taste Don't you have to gut the porcupine first (another tricky task), or do you leave in the gut contents for seasoning?

Hedgehog bellies are covered with soft fur but their sides and backs are covered with stiff quills, a hedgehog is covered by approximately 7000 quills.
