Sorry, but I must disagree. Patton is the best Christmas movie and a true story to boot. The final battle scenes of the 3rd army relieving the siege of Bastogne on Christmas eve 1944 make it a Christmas movie
My Dad was there w/ Patton’s 3rd Army Corps, 101st Combat Engineers, 26th Infantry, ending the siege in December. He was shot by a nazi sniper while saving 4 of his (SGT Combat Engineer) 33 man platoon in a blood covered, snow blanketed, farm field at Bastogne, caught in machine gun crossfire ambush. He survived D-Day, Central Europe, Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes. Quite decorated - Bronze Star w/ 4 clusters, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medals, 4 Campaign Ribbons, Court of Valor (York, PA) etc - we just lost him at 94.
FTM Washington Crossing is the greatest, or anything featuring the attack on Trenton. That actually started Christmas night and finished the day after. And it was based on the idea of ambushing German Xmas revelers.
