No, but I wish you well. There’s more people than you know thinking about you.

The wife and I are home alone. By choice

But I’ve been where you are. Just me and my dogs. One year we’all stayed in bed til 2PM just to pass the day.

Merry Christmas to everyone, whether solo, or coupled or with your families

I am alone, my wife is at our daughter’s two days ahead of me for some girl time. I’ll get there tomorrow.

More seriously, my brother very recently lost his wife of 50 years and is alone tonight. I wish I could be with him.

My mom died this summer so we kids are not getting
all together this year, saw my sister then my brother
for a while today and will spend some time having dinner
with my brother tomorrow.

Stopped in at the AutoZone store to wish my friend william
a merry Christmas. He spent a Christmas in Afghanistan 2010
and I spent two in Vietnam in 66 and 67.

Oooorah, my brothers!

Yeh, me too.
Bad planning on my part. Poor advance appreciation of what is valuable. Like the Maidens with their lamps.
Ar least we have people who are missing us as we are missing them.
That’s “Christmas” too.

Hey. Hang in there. Embrace the quiet solitude. As much as I love my family if much rather be chill8ng out at home tonight than enduring the madenning excitement and jackassery of my drunk loudmouth extended family members.

Yep...been alone many years now, and would have it no other way. But then one isn't really alone when they have Free Republic. My oldest son came here on Saturday, and we had our Christmas feast then. He went home with all the food. I was going to order a pizza, but they're closed tonight, so I'm having bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, and toast for supper in a few minutes.

Merry Christmas one and all!!

I am, sort of, we had Christmas Eve plans with our Son and his family because they have other plans tomorrow. My wife got sick this morning so we are staying home and she is in bed... I tuned into the live feed from my mom’s church for their Christmas Eve service instead. Checked here during one of their non traditional musical selections...

Yes, my husband and I are home alone for the first time in 31 years. Father-in-law passed 5 years ago; my mama passed July 31. We live 500+ miles away from our families, and our three children and grandson are with respective in-laws tonight and tomorrow. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Christ IS the Reason for the Season.

“Alone on Christmas Eve, reaching out to my fellow FReepers.”

It’s those who don’t have Freeper-minded people online or real life to spend some time with on Christmas Eve that I feel for!
And I’d take a hermit crab over some people any day of the year.

Speaking of George Bailey - you’ve seen the “lost ending” of the movie?
:D

Take care and be of good cheer - all may not be right in the world, but God is still in His heaven.

I’ve had a bad cold for four days, so it’s just as well. I’ve got all the presents wrapped, and I’m recovered enough so I can show up tomorrow and not appall everyone.

I’m listening to jazz and classical records, and working on some of the giant Christmas crossword puzzles. The Times of London is behind a paywall, but the Guardian Christmas prize puzzle is open to all:

https://www.theguardian.com/crosswords/prize/27699

I still have two answers in that one that I can’t quite figure out, but I successfully found the 26 alphabet answers.
