"The hard part is FB is how many of my extended friends (people I knew over my lifetime keep in touch with me)."

I've never joined FB, but know family members who have. Most of them complain about it, then when you tell them to quit, they come back with the excuse that they would, but it's how they share their photos of their kids/grandkids. I find that a poor excuse since there's plenty of other ways to share photos. What did they do before Facebook?

For me it’s not about sharing OUT the photos. But about seeing their photos and what is going on with everyone.

If people are on there because they want to share out those the the narcissistic type of people—typically posting daily or at least a few a week selfies and how great they are or how much god has blessed them.

But others use it to keep in touch. So if I want to see what my best friend from elementary school is up to I can easily see. And if he gets a new girlfriend and posts her photo I can congratulate him or ask to go out as couples next time we see each other. Normally when you get a new girlfriend you don’t text everyone in your contacts list that you have a girlfriend. But you can post it on FB without looking odd.
