Dubble Bubble had no comics. It may not have been Dubble Bubble, but didn't one brand come with comics featuring "Pud?" At least I think that was his name.
To: Zionist Conspirator
It WAS “Pud” and it WAS Fleer’s Dubble Bubble.

My friend and I biked from our home (Connecticut) to Cape Cod in 1971. My trusty 3 speed Raliegh did the job. We called our parents (both of our moms stayed home) about 3 times. High school? My cousin carried his rifle during deer season in his UNLOCKED truck, along with most of the students and staff. In high school, I was campaigning for Richard Nixon. I didn’t get in trouble for my views until college, when my polisci professor told us to vote for Jimmah instead of Gerald. (In 76, I wanted Ronald Reagan, but I voted for Gerald Ford.). She flunked me, but I complained so I got a D.

I graduated high school in 1974. I miss the days where you could say Merry Christmas without offending anyone.

Had lawn mowing jobs when I was 9, paper route at 10 but mostly in the summer, motorcycling at the scramble pits (once drove through the under construction KMart in my town), fishing and skinny-dipping at BAP (Bare Ass Pond - nice bass and trout in it) and playing tackle football without helmets or gear.

You are correct. I was wrong. I should have done some research first.
Dubble Bubble gum was the home to Pud and his pals. In their own way, these comics are every bit as fascinating as Bazooka Joe, and they've been around much longer actually! Fleer Funnies has a rich history dating back to the 1930's. If not the first, they were certainly one of the first to include comics with their gum, Dubble Bubble. Their first series of comics featured original characters, 'Dub and Bub'. Another early series of comics featured stick people. Eventually, Fleer developed a winning cast of characters for it's comics including their icon, Pud.

Bazooka comics had:
- Pesty
- Mort
- Hungry Herman
- Jane
- Toughie
- Walkie Talkie
