The above statements suppose that "planets" are huge and/or far away. I do not make such suppositions.

You are supposing sizes and distances and treating your suppositions as fact. I am choosing to examine the evidence before drawing conclusions.

And where do you think the "planets" are? About as far away as the moon? And slightly smaller than it?

You are supposing sizes and distances and treating your suppositions as fact. I am choosing to examine the evidence before drawing conclusions.

What evidence are you examining? Distances can be fairly accurately measured based on basic physics you should have learned in high school. Acceleration, speed of light, can all add up to velocity and distance. Can we travel to the other planets? if they're within 3600 miles, wouldn't it be easy to go visit and see if they're actually there?

Since the firmament is the farthest away from Earth we can go, What happens when we get there? Is it just a wall of stopping you from going farther?
