This is what is referred to as a “simple substitution cipher”. If you get tired of doing these because the are too easy, you can up it a level. What you do is take the cipher, remove punctuation, and divide it onto groups of 5 letters each. That makes it a little more difficult since you don’t have obvious word patterns. To

I think that would be too hard for me. What I do, is I try to decipher the code word by word, before going to the next. If I can’t do that, then I’ll try to decipher the first line, before going to the next.

I’m sure there are people our there, who can decipher these things like taking dictation. I can’t, but I think it’s a good tool to combat dementia.
