If walls did not work they would not have them in Northern Ireland.

Anything short of a lethal design can be defeated with ease. The design you mention can be overlaid with a wood or metal C shaped cover.

So they hand keys of cocaine and heroin between the slats to a waiting courier on this side. Not much of an impediment to coyotes and either since side grinders and generators are cheap. Also, firing between the bars at someone on this side is no problem if it's bars or slats with space between them.

Seems to me it's like a prison, you need at least 12 or more feet of concrete from the ground up. More if possible, and whatever is anchored atop the concrete, bars, lattice work, etc., needs razor wire coiled along it.

The wall Israel built works. Copy it and stop pussy footing around with the distractions being thrown into the mix.

I'd rather that they can't see what's on the other side.

It’s part of a border security solution. Let’s hear from border patrol, structural engineers, and security pros, not urinolists and political hacks who have no idea what they’re talking about.

Trump and the rest of us envisioned a solid wall, but when the design process began Border Patrol agents asked if they could give their input. Their main concern was that it not be a solid wall, they wanted a design that would allow them to see what was happening on the other side. They were concerned that illegals, smugglers, ETC could gather on the other side of a solid structure and wait for them to pass by on patrol to attempt to breach the wall or possibly plan to ambush them as they came through.

Their concerns were considered, as I think they should have been. I am happy with that type of fence, it has been tested. My son in law worked on a section of fence that appears to be the same and he said it was great. There is basically a concrete wall mostly underground and the fence is attached to the top of that. There is a wall, with a fence on top according to my son in law.

Check out what the Tweeters think of the fence and DJT at Real Donald Trump: "A design of our Steel Slat Barrier which is totally effective while at the same time beautiful!"

There isn't a single person over there who thinks we should protect our borders or even be a sovereign nation. Wading through their drek is absolutely sickening.

As long as it’s used in conjunction with landmines and the crucified and/or impaled corpses of attempted invaders.

A fence where what awaits on the other side can be seen is a half assed measure.

The current design is inadequate.

It would be cheaper to simply execute illegal border crossers as spies as per historical tradition. All this nonsense would stop right away at negligible cost.

What do you think of the Bollard Fence Design?

Not much.

A 200 yard wide saturated mine field would be far more effective, far cheaper, far more efficient to maintain...AND it would drive the Liberals batshit crazy!

I'm all for the steel slats. The Border Patrol prefers a barrier with optics to the other side (not just cameras). This barrier, vs the usual chain link fence, has proven very effective.

The douchebags can argue semantics, but to me, it is a wall, and more to the point, it is a physical wall to the invaders.

Terrible “wall” (fence).

A solid wall would be better, with a top that bends south-ward so it’ll be impossible to get over. CCTVs every quarter mile or so to be able to monitor what’s going on on the other side.

Double fences like the Saudis build are much better.

Walls are silly.

20 or so 10” C-clamps would make a nice set of stairs up and down each side. Next...
