I’ve always liked Eartha Kitt, even though the lyrics are not what I want in a Christmas song.

Maybe not good Christmas lyrics but they can also be seen as a commentary on how Christmas was being commercialized even then - during the post-war consumerism boom....brought memories of Joplin singing “Oh Lord won’t you buy me....”....might have to play some of her tunes for old times sake...
