I’ve always hated that song...but I didn’t want it banned.

It was subtle compared to today’s standards in Pop.

I have come to tolerate the song better since I have learned that it is somewhat of a riff on Cole Porter's 1938 classic "My Heart Belongs To Daddy" transposed to a commentary on the secularization of Christmas.

Here is a performance by Julie London from 1961. It pairs well with the Eartha Kitt number.
