I have two Muslim households on my street. A westernized single woman living next door to a Muslim couple- at least we think it’s a couple, we have only seen what must be the wife twice as he sneaks her into their car.

Anyway the single woman introduced herself to Mr Muslim when he moved in, and he wouldn’t shake her hand or acknowledge her. She knows it’s because of Islam and she now despises him.

They do not shake hands because the use their fingers to wipe themselves after defecating. even when introduced to toilet paper, they just use the paper to wipe their hands cleaner.
