The police chief of my large Texas city was forced to make an appearance at a “gay film festival” event after a dust up between police and a queer bar. This was AFTER police were cleared of wrongdoing, except for “lack of sensitivity” for homo sensibilities. He was heckled, booed and made to do verbal penance in front of the theater. It was absolutely sickening.
I would have resigned first, and then sued.
