The GDPR does no such thing (read this for starters). Furthermore, it is an attempt by the EU to basically take control of the internet. The easiest “opt-out” is to not use a particular service, which we have always been free to do.

Never trust any decree that the unelected EU bureaucrats create.

Ok, I read that article, and it does NOT support what you said. Not even close. In fact, it largely shows it does insure privacy, and companies are struggling to cope. Good.

My points still stand. We need a US version of GDPR, and while they’re at it, expose paid trolls and bot posts.
