Crowds have been gathering near a church in Artesia the past few days after an unusual stain that bears a resemblance to the Virgin Mary appeared on a sidewalk on Wednesday the same day Catholics celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The image was spotted on the 1800 block of Clarkdale Avenue by parishioners returning to their car of from an early morning mass at the Holy Family Catholic Church in celebration of the feast day, according to Father John Cordero, the church's pastor.
On the first day, the image was contained within a puddle that never fully evaporated despite bright, sunny weather, Cordero said.

Idolatry rocks!
Thats what Jesus never stepped on a crack. It might have broke his mommas back.

Heh!
The embarrassment for Catholics from these sorts of things are only surpassed by the embarrassment of their current pope.
“There’s Something About Mary”
“Idolatry rocks!”
In so many ways.
As a Catholic, I believe in the sanctity of the Holy Trinity.
However, I have always been cautious in putting a lot of meaning in these sort of events. “I can see Jesus Image in a hybrid peach!”.
As long as one keeps the image of Christ in their heart and soul, you’ll be fine. If a sharp likeness does appear in nature, or in spontaneous events, that is a big bonus, but not necessarily worth of actual ‘Worship’ by everyone.
The good part of these kind of stories is that these people are still searching to find evidence that Mary and the Holy Family are present in their lives because it is something they want. To want it is to have it.
I think the current pope amended the 10 Commandments..?
Or think.
Looks like an oil stain.
Wasn’t there one on a piece of toast?
Not all. Many will seriously worship bow down a foray before this image. And they still wonder why there was a Reformation
Down the street, a trucker who transports cases of cod liver’s oil tries to explain one of his boxes fell off the truck. He cleaned up the spill as best as he could.
However there is a stain that remains.
He tried to explain, but was pushed away and told to leave.
Artesia is about 10 miles from Anaheim.
How can anyone know this is an image of Mary? The Bible provides no physical description of her.
