Our city just changed over to the large wheeled bins. We used to play their stupid recycling game because they charged us by weight for trash, but recycling was free.

The recycling bin has an honored place behind my house, never to be used.

Industrial recycling of certain materials, like aluminum makes sense, when it’s done by the ton.

Curbside recycling is a colossal waste of time and resources.

Those wheeled ones are pretty good for lightweight yard debris such as leaves.

Thankfully, we’ve never had all that garbage recycling. It’s only been the last 15 years we’ve had garbage pickup. Before that, we burned and buried it. It costs about $60/mo for our one or two bags a week. Ridiculous.
