There are a lot of alternatives to the Boy Scouts. Trail Life leadership is almost entirely those who quit the Boy Scouts.

Actually only about half of Trail Life USA troops had prior BSA experience. The rest started off from scratch.

In my case, we left BSA in 2013 with fifteen boys. Our troop now has 75. Very few had prior experience. Due to age, of the 75 we have now, only 3 or 4 were Boy Scouts.
