In my experience in getting search warrants(on the local level), but full disclosure I’ve never done one for a computer, if you do uncover evidence of other crimes, there a few things that need to be done.
1. Identify the investigator(s) that handle the particular crime that you think you found. IE...child porn...you get the investigator that handles that. Drugs...you get a narcotics investigator...etc etc.
2. Wait for them, which isn’t going to take long, allow them to take a look at what you found under, Color of Law and let them get a search warrant for the stuff they investigate.
On a local level(city police) it wouldn’t be out of the norm to have detectives from different units targeting the same person for different crimes.
In this case, however, people first have to realize that ‘cops’ don’t necessarily get along with the Feds, especially the FBI. NYPD certainly isn’t kowtowing to anyone. They have close to 40,000 cops on that department and all the toys. They don’t need any help. Secondly, Donald Trump is a very, very well liked person by the cops and firemen. If anyone doesn’t think he knows exactly what was on that hard drive, if not in possession of a copy of it, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
There are so many twists, turns, criminal procedure being thrown out the window, duress, lying on the part of the investigators and DOJ, etc, that it’s hard to believe any judge would allow this to go on. But, it is DJT and the Deep State is still alive and kicking. You’d like to think the perpetrators of all of this would be ashamed of themselves, but they have no shame. They only care about their power.
Just imagine what they do to regular folks.
