The right side of Santa's hat where it goes up also looks like the neck and head of a dove of peace with olive branches (or something) in its beak. I think it makes the tail-end of a Q, with the white fur around Santa's face, the O. It seems the painter added a little extra curl, fer sure.

All kinds of images can be seen, sort of, but IMHO there is no meaning to them. If I’m proven wrong I will happily admit it.

Looks like the grinch to me.

I'm beginning to see that's not a hammer in Santa's right hand. It's something else. Look at the notch in the beard. The object extends into the bottom of the beard. There's a lot more in the painting that remains to be discovered.
On one of the Q drops, the hammer was validated, but that could be the hammer in the bag o' toys on Santa's back.
